The Purpose of This Website: Ariadne's Thread Out of the Labyrinth
Great to have you here! Make yourself at home. What is this website about? In other words: Why did we create it?
The path to truth—or self-knowledge—is not an easy one. From our many years of experience, we know this path is like a double labyrinth. It winds through countless outer-world experiences and books and deep inner-world paths within one’s soul. Both are vast, full of dangers and detours, and there seems to be no exit. Yet at some point, we found a “dusty” thread that revealed itself to be the golden thread of Ariadne leading us out of the labyrinth.
This thread was the theosophical teachings of Helena Blavatsky, which finally opened our eyes. With this thread and lamp that illuminated our dark path, we were able to recognize the right teachings and dangers along the way, little by little.
The outer thread, in the form of right knowledge and right application, ultimately leads to the inner thread of Ariadne: the guidance through our Higher Self.
Have we reached the goal ourselves? No, certainly not. However, we can confirm that with this knowledge, one can safely and steadily continue on the path, growing in certainty and trust in the voice of silence with every step.

The Foundation: The Teaching of the Heart
The unshakable core of our work rests in the Secret Doctrine (Gupta-Vidya), whose ethical heart is masterfully articulated in H. P. Blavatsky’s work The Voice of the Silence. There, the seeker is called upon to distinguish between the “Doctrine of the Eye” and the “Doctrine of the Heart”. The Eye Doctrine is mere, cold intellectual knowledge—the embodiment of the external and the non-existent. The Heart Doctrine, on the other hand, is the embodiment of Bodhi: true, enduring, divine wisdom. It demands that we renounce the illusory ego and anchor our consciousness in the universal Oversoul (Alaya).
The historic letter from the Maha Chohan dated 1881 is our absolute guiding star for this work. It unequivocally defines that the highest goal of the spiritual path is not the attainment of one’s own Nirvana, which would be “sublime and glorious egoism,” but rather the self-sacrificing endeavor to guide our fellow human beings onto the right path. The Highest Law: Universal Brotherhood
The Maha Chohan identifies the brutal “struggle for life” as the true and most fruitful source of humanity’s suffering, worries, and crimes. As long as we live in the illusion of separateness, we destroy ourselves.
Therefore, this website’s supreme and binding ethical goal is to promote a Universal Brotherhood of Humanity. True Theosophy is not an intellectual game, but requires a “brotherhood in deed, and altruism not merely in name.” Only through the soothing influence of lived brotherhood can humanity’s cruel instincts be tamed, and humanity can ultimately be redeemed.
To achieve this, we will prove that universal brotherhood is the prevailing law of the universe and demonstrate how to apply it to our daily lives.

Our Endeavor and the Great Synthesis
Our endeavor is to convey this timeless message in its original, unadulterated form. In doing so, we rely exclusively on the original teachings of the transmitters H.P. Blavatsky and William Q. Judge, as well as on the writings of their Masters. Not because they are the originators of these teachings, but because they were their custodians and have passed them on without distortion. Furthermore, they were under the supervision of true Adepts. We deepen this knowledge through the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and the esoteric teachings of Buddha because they most authentically reveal the original teachings of the true royal path.
On this website, we demonstrate the universal truth and validity of this doctrine through a grand synthesis. We demonstrate how Hermetic and Far Eastern metaphysics are astonishingly confirmed by insights from modern depth psychology, comparative mythology, neurophilosophy, and other scientific fields.
When the archaic principles of the teachings resonate in myths and fairy tales as an echo from distant times and shine in the light of modern consciousness research and science, we realize: “This must be the truth and nothing but the truth.”
“Nothing New under the Sun”
To fully grasp the true meaning and purpose of this platform, a fundamental clarification is necessary first: We do not offer new knowledge, we do not establish a new religion, nor do we proclaim a new, exclusive revelation on this website. Esoteric philosophy constantly warns us that the demand for a “new truth” stems solely from the vanity of the modern intellect. All the knowledge you find here is as old as thinking humanity itself, and it has been revealed countless times throughout history in diverse guises and systems.
We are not the creators or inventors of this system. In deepest humility, we see ourselves merely as its transmitters. We strictly follow the example of Helena P. Blavatsky in doing so. She summed up her monumental work with a quote from the philosopher Montaigne:
“I have here made only a nosegay of culled flowers, and have brought nothing of my own but the string that ties them.”
Viewed from a bird’s-eye perspective, this metaphor reveals the perfect systemic architecture of spiritual evolution. The “flowers” that H.P. Blavatsky gathered are eternal esoteric truths. This hidden knowledge was scattered across thousands of volumes of Asian and early European religions and concealed beneath archaic glyphs and symbols. It had become invisible to the untrained, purely worldly mind.
But what is this “thread” that gives everything its true value? It is that golden thread of universal truth—the sutratma, or thread soul, or the mythological thread of Ariadne—which permeates, orders, and reconciles all ancient philosophical systems, religions, and myths. It weaves its way from Egypt to India and from the Jewish Kabbalah to modern scientific discoveries. Without this connecting thread of lawfulness, the isolated blossoms of human knowledge (the isolated intellect) would be doomed to wither as confusing, disjointed fragments. H.P. Blavatsky used the knowledge she received from her Masters to compile these most ancient teachings and fuse them into a “harmonious and unbroken whole.” She irrefutably demonstrated that the Theosophical system is the very essence, the eternal lifeblood of all these traditions, from which every teaching and every mystery once sprang.
In the presented image of the bouquet, we simultaneously recognize the perfect, living manifestation of the Theosophical triad—the unconditional harmony of head, heart, and hand:
The Head (Knowledge/Jnana): It symbolizes the precise, almost superhuman intellectual work required to identify, decipher, and bring back into the light of day the hidden flowers of wisdom in the deepest, forgotten archives of world history. It is the trained mind (Manas) that separates the wheat from the chaff.
The Heart (Compassion/Buddhi): It is the cord of universal brotherhood and absolute compassion. This cord unites the countless historical fragments, dispels the cruel illusion of separation (Maya), and irrefutably demonstrates that all of humanity, regardless of race or era, has been nourished by a single, common source of wisdom (Gupta-Vidya). Without the heart, the bouquet would be nothing more than a cold, academic collection.
The Hand (Action/Karma Yoga): It represents the tremendous, painful sacrifice of physically manifesting and writing this knowledge in the world. This meant courageously defying mockery, slander, and ignorance from the world and offering this bouquet—bound with the cord of her own heart’s blood—to suffering humanity as a pure act of service. Blavatsky emphasized that she wrote her work solely in service to humanity. She recognized no higher court of appeal than the humanity of future generations, who will one day judge the value of this gift.
Our task on this website is to present this imperishable bouquet to the present day. We present it using the far-reaching possibilities and interactive media formats of the 21st century. In doing so, we do not alter the roots of truth, but rather carefully supplement the bouquet with those insights that have matured in the time since her passing, whether from the depth psychology of C. G. Jung, the comparative mythology of Joseph Campbell, or the modern neurophilosophy of Iain McGilchrist.
These modern sciences confirm ancient teachings in astonishing ways, and they can be woven harmoniously and organically into the eternal thread of truth as new, radiant blossoms to safely guide today’s seekers through life’s labyrinth.

The Safe Path: A Clear Demarcation
To protect the seeker, we draw a sharp dividing line. Since theosophical teachings play a central role in our work, we distance ourselves explicitly from the later distortions of so-called pseudo-theosophy (as propagated, for example, by Annie Besant, C.W. Leadbeater, or Alice Bailey). We also distance ourselves from superficial New Age fantasies and the commercial exploitation of spiritual knowledge.
We do this not out of a dogmatic stance, but rather to preserve ancient knowledge and the esoteric tradition that has been practiced for ages. This knowledge is based on a scientific system verified by countless enlightened beings over millennia, whereas more recent modern pseudo-teachings stem from the thoughts and ideas of individuals.
Likewise, we strongly caution against dangerous practices such as unguided Hatha yoga, mechanical breathing exercises, and the pursuit of psychic phenomena or astral powers (the lower siddhis). Pursuing occult powers without first purifying the heart absolutely leads to destruction and misguidance. Therefore, you will not find any practices related to mediumship, spiritualism, magic, manifestations, or rituals on our site.
We focus on the safe, time-honored theory and practice of character refinement, ethical action, selfless devotion, and compassion for all beings. This requires careful philosophical study. Together, they bring about true, healing transformation and prevent one from straying from the path.

We operate completely independently of any organizations, dogmatic cults, or divisive ideologies. We are united in the spirit of the United Lodge of Theosophists (U.L.T.), whose sole bond is the “similarity of aim, purpose, and teaching.”
